Vincenzo Postiglione Violins

Vincenzo Postiglione is considered a master amongst the new generation of Neapolitan makers. His work is filled with unmistakable Neapolitan character and distinct Gagliano influences. A leading maker of the 19^th century, he started as an apprentice to Vincenzo Lorio before setting up his own shop in Naples in 1855, where he would make over 500 instruments.

Today, a Vincenzo Postiglione violin is highly regarded for its quality varnish and excellent craftsmanship. His instruments often have touches of Stradivari, Guadagnini and Gagliano influence, but always with a distinct Vincenzo Postiglione style. Many of his instruments are widely sought-after by musicians for their beautiful sound and high performance quality.
