Louis Morizot Bows

Louis Morizot (1874-1957) was a highly regarded and influential French bowmaker. He learnt his craft under the apprenticeship of Eugene Cuniot-Hury before joining the workshop of Charles Bazin. Following that, he went on to work for Eugene Sartory which greatly influenced his style, and in 1919, he set up his own workshop. Morizot’s workshop flourished with the help of his five sons’ and together, they became key exporters of quality French bows.

Today, Louis Morizot is remembered as a fine craftsman who produced consistently exceptional bows. He even won honours and awards for his work, making his bows a popular choice for musicians.
