A violin bow by Sergio Chanquia, 59g

Sergio began his studies in 2008 and after 3 years obtained his diploma in violin making from the BELE school of violin making in Bilbao-Basque Country. In 2013, he moved to Paris to begin his exclusive training as a bow maker at the S. RAFFIN workshop. RAFFIN workshop, which will last nearly 8 years. He perfected his skills in restoring antique bows and making modern bows.
In 2016, he quickly became workshop manager, pursuing his main activity in this workshop, bow making.
In August 2020, he decided to take his evolution a step further and opened his own SACh Archetier workshop in Maisons Laffitte, about 20 km from Paris, continuing to make bows using the traditional French method, while adding his own personal character.
In May 2024, he moved his workshop to Poigny la Forêt (78125), a dream place!
