A violin bow by Helge Netland, gold mounted, ex Tasmin Little

Helge Netland was born in Bergen, Norway, in 1959. He apprenticed in the art of bowmaking with Benoít Rolland in Brittany, France, and later  with Mitsuaki Sassano in Paris. Under their guidance he acquired the traditional construction techniques of the famous French bowmakers of the past.

He now works out of his atelier in Winterthur (near Zürich), Switzerland.

 He trained early on as a violinist and draws heavily on a long experience in music when creating his bows.
