A viola bow by Pierre Nehr, gold mounted

In September 1995, at the age of sixteen, Pierre began his apprenticeship with his brother Jean-Pascal in Marseille,  staying for five years, and  obtaining his degree in bow-making in Mirecourt in 1998.

In 2002 he  opened his workshop in Paris to focus on crafting bows of his own creation and restoring old bows for various luthiers, dealers, and international collectors.

In the summer of 2024, after more than 20 years spent in Paris he returned to the Aix-en-Provence area to settle there and dedicate himself exclusively to the creation of fine bows.
