Jacob Fendt Violin
Jacob Fendt was born in London in 1815 and was a fine English luthier. A pupil of his brother, Bernard Fendt, Jacob was the most talented maker in his family. He is recognised as one of the fine copyists of the 19th century. His career was sadly cut short after he died young, but his instruments and talents are still widely appreciated today.
We are proud to say that we regularly have fine examples of Jacob Fendt’s craftsmanship amongst our large collection of violins. His copies, in particular, are a fantastic demonstration of his abilities and talents as a maker. You can view the instruments we have available below, or arrange an appointment to visit our London showroom.
