A violin by Vincenzo Sannino, ca. 1910/15
Born in Naples. Vincenzo Sannino was a self taught-luthier, but guided by W. Hamma which allowed him to be very knowledgeable about classical Italian instruments. Sannino is one of the most successful Italian makers from the early 20th century. His work follows classical models, often Neapolitan style, and he usually used reproduction labels.
“This early example is one of the best. It was featured in an article written on the maker for the Cozio website, by D.Gindin.” Sean Bishop- Director
