A violin by Piero Parravicini, Milan 1922
Piero Parravicini b1889 d1957 Milan. Parravicini was a pupil of the Antoniazzi family, and indeed some of their instruments are clearly made by him! He worked for Monzino 1924-25, many medals at international competitions and his work is rare to see, although he made a large number! and extremely fine.
This violin was made in Milan, 1922 and very much on the form of Antoniazzi. Very fine workmanship. Eric Blot certificate.
“I love the Milan school of makers, 1890- 1930 and this violin is a typical example why! I just love the edgework ! colour and of course the tone!” Sean Bishop- Director
