Violin by Joannes Rota, Cremona 1809

Giovanni Rota 1767-1829

Rota was apprenticed to Storioni and in this violin we can see similarities particularly in the scroll. He seems to have divided his time between Mantua and Cremona. This violin  was made in Cremona in 1809 and comes with a Hill certificate and a new Biddulph certificate can be made. A great example in excellent condition.

“A very fine early 19th century Italian violin, made in 1809 this will surely be a great investment financially and musically for any violinist!” Sean Bishop – Director
