A violin from the Bisiach workshop, Milan c1920
Price range: £50,000+
Very interesting violin. The top of this violin is old work, probably Milanese circa 1870/80 and the violin is labelled Ceruti. But what we know is that the Bisiach’s made the rib, back and scroll…and then sold it as Ceruti! Not me! It’s Bisiach Workshop on my books. Blot certificate. (Plus the Bisiach invoice!)

What a beautiful violin. Of course Bisiach knew it wasn't a Ceruti as he made the back and scroll!
