A viola by Vittorio Bellarosa

Vittorio is the son of Riccardo Bellarosa. He studied making with Vito Vitantonio in 1922, for 6 months in Mittenwald, and then with Rodolfo Fredi in Rome. Most of his output were violins based on Gagliano and with imitation labels. Bellarosa often did varnishing work for Pistucci. He is considered the last maker of the true Neapolitan School.
