Maggiali was an active maker, he received making advice from the Sderci family. He made predominantly Stradivari and Guarderi models with Golden-red varnish. He was awarded a Gold medal at the Rome Violin making competition of 1954.
This viola is a very fine example of his best work. Big tone and highly recommended …a great entry into the Italian world.
