Jacob Fendt (1815-1849 )was born in London in 1815 and was an extremely fine English luthier. A pupil of his brother, Bernard Fendt, Jacob was the most talented maker in his family and is recognised as one of the fine copyists of the 19th century. His career was sadly cut short after he died young, but his instruments and talents are still widely appreciated today.
This fine Guarneri model is truly a beautiful example. Very open in sound yet giving a warmth that Italian violins attain to! Highly recommended.
Just had this violin set up ….and wow! Sounds amazing! First to try will buy it.
