Silvio Levaggi is a graduate of the Cremona School of Violin making in 1984 and over the next 30 years he has been  awarded many gold medals for his making in all the major competitions around the world.

4 Gold Medal: Cremona 2009, Parigi 2004, Manchester 2004, Mittenwald 2001;

4 Silver Medal: VSA 2010 e 2002;

2 Bronze Medal: Mittenwald 2005, Cremona 2003;

18 Certificates of Merit or Special Prizes: International Violinmaking Competition from 1998 to 2010.

I first saw a cello of his early 2010 and have been a huge fan ever since!

This viola was made with his wife and partner, Anna Tartari for me and I waited over 2 years. It is easy to play, responsive and the workmanship is out of this world! Look at the scroll! and funky Guarneri inspired F holes. This viola will make someone very happy.
