George Craske Violin

A prolific English maker, George Craske began his career in London, studying under William Forster. Over the years, Craske moved to various locations across the UK including Birmingham and Bath, producing over 2,500 exceptional instruments. Craske became known for his talents as a copyist, particularly for his bench copies of instruments by the old masters such as Amati, Stradivari and Guarneri. After his death, much of his collection was acquired and sold by W.E. Hill & Sons.

At Bishop Instruments & Bows, we regularly have instruments in our showroom by prolific makers such as George Craske. If you are looking for a George Craske violin, you can browse some of the instruments we have on our website or arrange an appointment to visit our London shop to view them in person.
