Bernard Ouchard (1925-1979) was a French master bow maker. Bernard Ouchard started making aged just 13 and moved to Paris with his father, Emile Auguste Ouchard, also a renowned bow maker, in 1941. Eight years later Ouchard moved to Geneva to make bows for Vidoudez where he produced some of his finest work. In 1971, he took up a teaching post at the Ecole de Lutherie in Mirecourt, where he was professor of bow making.
