Jean-Luc Tauziede

Jean-Luc Tauziede was born in the village of Anglet between Bayonne and Biarritz in 1962. A former cello student of Jacques Doué, Jean-Luc decided to dedicate his life to bowmaking and worked in Jean-François Raffin’s Parisian workshop from 1992-97.

Jean-Luc has since worked in the Basque area of France making fine classic model bows for violin, viola, cello and double bass, as well as older models of the “transition” and baroque periods. He also works on the restoration and maintenance of bows.
