A viola bow by Emilio Slaviero, gold mounted

Emilio Slaviero (seen here with his bowmaker son Luca) can rightly be regarded as Italy’s leading bowmaker. He has had a workshop in Cremona for almost 40 years and  anyone that knows him will attest to his hard work ethic! As well as making Emilio has a collection of fine old bows and he often draws inspiration from these in some of his accurate copies. We are old friends with the Slaviero family and no trip to Cremona would be complete without a visit to his workshop.

This bow is a 19th Century inspired example, gold mounted and weight 71.6 grams. All Slaviero bows come with makers certificates.
